A TARA seminar will be held as follows.
Date: Monday, October 1st, 2018 Time: 17:00-18:00 Venue: Seminar room, 2F, Bldg. A, TARA Center [Map]
Speaker: Hideaki Kano, Ph.D. (Associate Professor, Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba)
Subject: “Molecular fingerprinting of living systems by nonlinear Raman spectroscopy”
Summary: Molecular fingerprints act as natural contrasts to biomolecules. Vibrational spectroscopic imaging using molecular fingerprints, i.e., molecular fingerprinting, is opening new opportunities to reveal cellular machinery and enable molecule-based diagnosis. In this talk, I will introduce biomedical spectroscopic imaging using the coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) process.
