A few members have changed at the beginning of this semester.
Caroline Antunes Lino completed her MEXT supported internship and returned to Brazil. She worked on the aneurysm and valve project in our lab. Also, she participated in the 1st JCS Council Forum on Basic CardioVascular Research in Tokyo in January. Caroline, we wish you the best for your research back at the University of São Paulo!
Kaori has come back to our lab after completing her longterm internship in the laboratory of Dr. Katja Schenke-Layland at Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB in Stuttgart. She gave an oral presentation at the Annual Meeting of the German Society for Matrix Biology in March, and received the poster award. Welcome back, Kaori!
Juliano Vilela Alves, 1st year mastar’s student from the University of São Paulo, arrived in Tsukuba last week and is staying in our laboratory as a participant of the MEXT-supported Inter-University Exchange Project for 6 months.
