Thang participated in the 10th Vietnam-Japan Scientific Exchange Meeting “Connecting people: Shaping the future” on September 9, held at Shibaura Institute of Technology (Photos). This meeting has been organized by the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association since 2004 to facilitate active interactions between Vietnamese and Japanese students, academics and experts in various scientific fields, aiming to strengthen the strategic relationship and deepen the mutual understanding between the two countries. Thang served as a vice chair of the program committee as well as chaired two sessions, “Vietnam-Japan Collaboration” and “Biomaterial Science Session”. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology, and Prof. Masato Murakami, President of Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan gave a talk on science and collaboration.
Thang also organized the 2nd International Young Scientist Symposium (Medical – Biology Symposium for Vietnamese Young Scientist) “From Basic Research To Clinical Application” on May 6th at the University of Medical and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh city (UMP), which was attended by more than 200 students.
