生後退縮する動脈管や臍帯動脈のリモデリング、大動脈の力学的環境とシグナル伝達に重要な働きをするElastin-contractile units の異常によって生じる大動脈瘤などをレビューした論文が掲載されました。

A review article written by Hiromi and Utako Yokoyama at the Tokyo Medical University has been published online.

They discuss the roles of extracellular matrix (elastic fibers) during developmental remodeling, including the regression of the ductus arteriosus and umbilical arteries,

and the significance of elastin contractile units, which play an essential role in maintaining the mechanoenvironment and signal transduction of the aorta.
